Spectacular, this world is.
Skies that were grey yesterday now display a magical shade of blue. Noise that once shrieked in your ears, making you shiver, is now a simple, soft nothing. The cold hard rain has slowed down to only a calm drizzle. This planet that we call Earth changes, and it has everyday since the moment it was created. Everything on this planet changes, whether it is alive or not.
A tree is alive, most of the time anyways. A stick falls off, the stick is dead. This stick might not even be one inch wide, but this stick has made a change. A change in the ground or a change in the tree. This stick may have lost some bark in the process, and perhaps this stick has changed life for a bird.
The thing is, in our world, we don’t pay attention to the changes in sticks or trees, but we often do see the change of the people around us. I have heard people say people can never be changed, this is not true. People make mistakes, mistakes cannot be undone, but people change all the time. People change so the same mistake will not be made again. These changes surround us, and our opinions differ on different people's change.
Just remember, everyone is a fallen stick at some point.

When every
single slow slipping step
you take
feels like a trip
you will find it hard to remember why you ever started walking in the first place
You want to stop, and you're losing pace
But somehow you're still
slipping, tripping, dissing, and missing
You're losing your step, more and more.
But still, some how you haven't ceased.
You're mind is set on stopping.
So how will you ever go?
Something I have recently learned is you cannot go faster until you stop trying to slow down. The truth is, life never slows down. Even though you have to start somewhere, you don't always get to choose where you start. If you start off slowly, don't try to stop, try to speed up, see where that leads you.

Thank You;
Today while I was walking the dogs, a man stopped me and my brother, he wasn't what you would call young. This man had taken interest in my dogs. I took a look at his attire, placed upon his head was a Korean War Veteran Cap. The words he spoke, were not really to me. They were to himself. He said that when he was in the war there were no dogs, just people. I could see the war in his eyes. I could see he appreciated my dogs. He pet my dogs, and then as my brother and I walked away I was speechless. But, I did manage to say thank you.
Thank you for serving this country, thank you for protecting my freedom.
It's amazing how much can be put into two simple words.
I wonder if he understood what i meant.
